A credible firm with no credible web presence
The client — a professional services firm in Kampala — was winning business through referrals but losing it to competitors whenever a prospective client Googled them. Their only web presence was an outdated, non-mobile-friendly site that hadn't been updated in years and loaded poorly on the 4G connections most clients used.
The brief was clear: a site that looks professional, works on mobile, loads fast, and gives potential clients enough information to pick up the phone or fill out a contact form. No CMS required — the client would call me for content updates, and they wanted to keep costs down by not paying monthly SaaS fees.
Budget was fixed. Timeline was 4–5 weeks. Design needed to feel "Corporate Professional" — clean, dark-navy, authoritative — without looking generic or template-like.
Eight pages. One clear purpose per page.
Every page was planned around a single job. The homepage builds credibility and points visitors to either the services or the contact form. The services pages give prospects exactly what they need to decide whether to enquire. The about page establishes trust. The contact page converts.
The entire site is static HTML, CSS, and vanilla JS deployed to Cloudflare Pages. No database, no CMS, no server — which means no monthly costs beyond the domain, and nothing to maintain between content updates.
The contact form connects to a Cloudflare Worker that sends email notifications via Resend and saves enquiries to Cloudflare KV. The client gets an email the moment someone submits, with a one-click reply link directly to the prospect's inbox.
Corporate Professional style
The chosen design language was Corporate Professional — deep navy backgrounds, clean white type, cyan accent for interactive elements, generous whitespace. The feel is authoritative without being cold. Every element is there for a reason.
Typography: Montserrat for headings (weight 800), Inter for body text. The same font stack used across this portfolio — familiar, legible, and free via Google Fonts with no licensing concerns.
